Landscapes are my true love. They give me the opportunity as a Painter to explain form and color without worry. Someone asked what inspired me and while I gravitate towards landscapes that feature sea and sky it’s more an excuse to explore paint than to capture a representation of an image. That said, I also really enjoy when there is an element to the composition that anchors the piece to the real world. Whether power lines, fishing weirs or in this case, a decommissioned power plant. This painting is 45.5” x 27” mixed media on 300lb Fabriano watercolor paper
