One of my favorite poems is Invictus by William Ernest Henley.  I highly recommend you reading it as it seems very appropriate for our country right now.  Some might look at this painting and see despair, I painted it with hope however.  We might be battered and bloody right now but I do believe in the future.
 
This painting is 14" x 16" and is oil on board.  It is non standard size so requires custom framing if framed.
