Joy-Ann Reid has been a leader on TV news for over a decade. She was born in NYC as the child of immigrants and spent most of her early years in Denver raised mostly by her mother. She attended Harvard where she studied film.
Reid teaches a Syracuse University class in Manhattan exploring race, gender and the media
She is married to a documentary film editor and they have three children.
